Why? Because they could, I suppose. Read the press release:
Digitsole, the connected footwear specialist, announces that its newest creation – the Warm Sneaker – has won an award at the 2016 ISPO. ISPO is an international trade-fair gathering the whole sport industry and honoring exhibitors in different categories every year. The Warm Sneaker has been rewarded in the “Footwear Outdoor” category: a great distinction for a 100% Made in France product.
The Digitsole team has designed these elegant sneakers declined in blue, white and red along with three models of pumps embedding the same technical characteristics as the Warm Series insoles already on the market.
The two product lines connect to a smartphone via an app which controls the warming system and displays the data gathered by the sensors integrated in the shoe. The user can follow his daily activity with information such as the number of steps and the number of calories burnt.
Digitsole’s latest creations use a wireless pod as a charger and feature at least one full day of use.
The two new collections will be distributed in Fall 2016 and will retail at $350.
